Johnny Drille – Awww (Dija's Cover)

Producer and singer-songwriter, John Ighodaro popularly known as Johnny Drille starts off the new year by giving Di’ja‘s latest single “Awww” his personal twist. According to the MTN Project Fame alumnus: “I think Di’ja‘s Awww is a really beautiful song, we don’t get to hear songs like that very often and so I couldn’t wait to make a cover of it.

Big shout out to Di’ja and Don Jazzy for such an amazing song” As a part of his project which he calls #JohnnyCoversNaija, the self produced cover is a stripped down alternative version with Johnny introducing his own verse as well as singing Di’ja‘s own verses, blending his lush in-your-face vocals with his really crisp and warmly re-produced instrumental.”
